The Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh Downtown provided an exceptional experience, with standout customer service that truly elevated the stay. The front desk staff member, though unnamed, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and focused on ensuring a seamless guest experience. Her assistance in booking a car service to the PNC concert venue was particularly helpful. The online check-in process was a first and proved to be convenient.|The room itself was great, with the added convenience of being able to connect with your phone. While some noise from the train was audible on the 6th floor, it did not disrupt sleep at night. The location and top-notch customer service more than made up for any potential noise concerns.|The breakfast offerings were also a highlight, contributing to an overall enjoyable stay. The combination of excellent amenities, prime location, and outstanding service makes this hotel a definite choice for future visits to Raleigh.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was in NC for a life insurance convention and the hotel was only 8 minutes from the auditorium. When I arrived the front desk attendant was so kind and got me taken care of within minutes of arriving. Parking was aciertos the street but was super easy to get back to the hotel. Parking was free. Rooms were nice clean and had everything I needed. They even had my name on the tv when I entered the room to welcome me. One side of the hotel is a lot noisier than the other side because the hotel is located in a college district but they do provide ear plugs if you end up on the side that’s noisier. Breakfast is included and was actually very yummy. They provide free water unless you want to purchase specific water. They have snacks you can purchase as well. There was a nice indoor pool, a nice small gym and an outdoor area to sit by the fireplace. It was a good experience I would stay again.

I won't complain about the midnight trains or the 3am trash pickup. Those were minor inconveniences compared to the horrid treatment I have received since checking out. Without notifying me, the hotel charged me a $45 "Miscellaneous charge." I only found out about it after checking my credit card statement and then making repeated calls over three days to the hotel to find out that the "Miscellaneous charge" was for a supposedly missing clothing iron. I eventually was able to speak to the hotel manager and explain that neither my roommate nor I removed the iron from the room. The manager flat out refused to reverse the charge. As far as I can tell, the manager either considers me a liar or does not care that she is charging a fee to a customer who has done nothing to deserve it. Either way, this clearly indicates that she does not want my business. Given Hilton's inability or unwillingness to help with this, despite my membership in their loyalty program, I plan to avoid this and all Hilton hotels for future travel. Choice, Marriott, Best Western and others will get my business rather than Hilton from now on.

My mother & I came in from out of town for my daughters high school graduation at the convention center. We received a pleasant greeting from the woman working the front desk. We had no problem with the service throughout our stay & found the staff to be very helpful & polite. I wish I had remembered her name, but I think it starts with an L.

We only stayed for one night and it was a great stay. The hotel is very clean and seems to be well taken care of. The room and bathroom seem updated. The breakfast was typical Hampton Inn with hot foods, fruit, bakery items and it had a lot of extra items like lots of toppings for the waffles and oatmeal. The only negative was the noise from the bars outside at night. We turned on the room fan and it helped but if you are a light sleeper, it could be a problem. The best part of the stay was the front desk staff (B and Rhonda). I booked a King by mistake and B was able to change the room to 2 beds (and was so nice about it). My son left one airpod in the room and I called Rhonda, who contacted staff to find it. When we went back to the hotel, she had it at the front desk. They were so pleasant and friendly and made the stay much more enjoyable.

The staff was not friendly at all. Upon arrival the computer system was down, and they did not have any backup paperwork to show which rooms were ready for check in. I was given 2 backup keys but neither of them worked. The manager and the staff were very rude upon check in. We were there for 3 days and requested daily housekeeping service and the front desk agent was rude when it was requested. The front desk staff was observed outside the hotel sitting on the steps of the building across the street from the hotel and no one was at the front desk. I asked for a late checkout and the front desk agent on duty told me to call the morning of my checkout, when I did the person on duty told me I couldn't get a late checkout and I explained to him what I was told to do and that's what I did. It is not my fault that there is poor communication with the staff. Didn't feel welcome at all.

The room was noisy, as expected, but very clean. My biggest issue here was the staff. They are simply rude. I experienced and witnessed staff use snarky and sarcastic tones with guests asking for help, even down to the manager Lindsey, who I feel comfortable naming because as a leader she holds responsibility for her staff. The front desk agent reeked of marijuana and was clearly high, which I would’ve cared less about if he wasn’t missing from the front desk for 40 minutes as I was trying to call down to the front desk. When I came down to the desk, the interaction was pleasant and my issue was resolved, but that makes me wonder if he was taking a “smoke break” at my inconvenience.

Had a company dinner party at Sullivan's and this hotel is literally a one minute walk from there. The lady at check-in on 2/6/24 was awesome! Very friendly! Breakfast available the next morning was good and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again.
